Our objectives: to educate a large audience and in particular young people, including children, Co students, to SDGs.

Since 2011, the festival, renamed Cinema for Change in 2021, is part of a approach committed for a citizen cinema.
More than 60,000 students have participated in the youth prices of the festival as a jury, since its creation!

Le Festival Cinema for Change, c’est une semaine de cinéma au printemps, au cœur de Paris. Une projection, un débat... douze long-métrages documentaires et fictions, et une quinzaine de court-métrages en compétition. Une semaine, finalement, de rencontres et de partages, le tout animé par une aspiration : éveiller les consciences par la force de l’émotion, grâce au cinéma !
L’origine du festival est le film « 8 », long-métrage constitué de 8 séquences réalisées par 8 grands réalisateurs internationaux : Jane Campion, Wim Wenders, Gus Van Sant, Gael Garcia Bernal, Abderrahmane Sissako, Mira Nair, Gaspar Noé et Jan Kounen. Chacun traite d’un Objectif du Millénaire pour le Développement (OMD).
La campagne des OMD fut initiée par Kofi Annan aux Nations Unies en septembre 2000.
Suite à la diffusion du film sur internet le 5 février 2010, plus de 2 500 000 vues ont été enregistrées en moins de deux mois. Au vu de l’impact obtenu, nous avions décidé de poursuivre l’aventure en créant le festival Le Temps Presse. Les réalisateurs de « 8 » sont devenus jurys et ont invité le public à leur donner le vision du monde.
En sont ressortis un concept, celui de passer le témoin, représenté par le trophée du Festival.
Aujourd'hui c’est autour de la campagne des Objectifs de Développement durable (ODD) de l’ONU que le festival s’articule. 17 Objectifs ont été adoptés par les états membres de l’ONU dans le but d’ « éradiquer la pauvreté, protéger la planète et garantir la prospérité pour tous ».
Nos objectifs : Sensibiliser un large public et notamment les jeunes, dont les enfants, co les Ă©tudiants, aux ODD.
-Mettre en valeur de jeunes réalisateurs engagés dans un cinéma ayant une portée citoyenne et un engagement social, environnemental et humain.
Depuis 2011, Le Festival, renommé Cinema for Change en 2021, s’inscrit dans une démarche engagée pour un cinéma citoyen.
Plus de 60 000 élèves ont participé aux Prix Jeunesse du Festival en tant que Jury, depuis sa création !
