Volumes is a global innovation laboratory committed to supporting the emergence of Third Places and Creative and Productive Hubs everywhere in the world through consulting, training and research.
Third Places are hybrid spaces that are neither where you live nor where you work, situated in between the public and the private space. They play a key role in the definition of civil society, democracy and civic engagement. Third Places include independent coworking spaces, creative hubs, fab labs, social food labs, coliving spaces, living labs and incubators.
Volumes pioneered in Paris the model of Creative and Productive Hubs (CPHs), a new generation of independent, community-led Third Places that bridges the traditional corporate world with the emerging social innovation ecosystems in the city. CPHs bring together communities of changemakers from the creative industries with the maker movement into a unique recipe of a mixed and hybrid program. CPHs host activities and users ranging from knowledge workers to craft-mans and food professionals, and are able to create a local, circular and resilient ecosystem with a positive impact - social and economical - in the city and the territory.
Volumes expertise ranges from real-estate innovation, digital technologies, urban and rural regeneration, heritage revitalisation, social innovation, circular economy, sustainable food and digital fabrication.
While leading the Parisian ecosystem of social innovation with more than 2500 sqm under management, since 2019 Volumes focuses its activity on replicating its model in France, Europe and the world.

VOLUMES is a global innovation laboratory committed to supporting the emergence of local ecosystems for positive impact through research, consulting and training in the fields of social innovation, circular economy, sustainable food and digital fabrication.
Started in 2015 as the first prototype of a Creative and Productive Hub in Paris (now renamed Voluma Lab), Volumes has hosted some of the most vibrant communities of the Parisian social innovation scene and powered a number of initiatives that grew into independent organizations, including the first Foodlab in Europe, a Makerspace, the Fab City Grand Paris initiative and the cooperative Oasis 21.
Volumes is involved in several research projects and runs a number of educational programs while providing support and consulting to different public and private organizations in France and throughout Europe.
