ESA BIC Sud France is the first ESA (European Space Agency) incubator to be set up in France, and is one of 22 European BICs (Business Incubation Centres) set up by the European Space Agency since 2000. ESA BICs aim to support the creation of companies and start-ups with a link to space or using space-based applications (urban planning, agriculture, medical, consumer, etc.).
Coordinated by Aerospace Valley, with the support of CNES and the SAFE competitiveness cluster, ESA BIC Sud France is a consortium of 9 structures from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie-Pyrénées/Méditerranée, Région Sud and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions (ESTIA Entreprendre, Technopole Bordeaux Technowest, CEEI Théogone, Nubbo, BIC Montpellier, Incubateur PACA-Est, Pégase Croissance, Gate 1 and Chambéry Grand Lac).
Since its creation in 2013, more than 80 companies have been supported by the ESA BIC Sud France. Since 2019, Airbus and the Prévifrance mutual insurance company have been partners of ESA BIC Sud France.Original language
