Son objectif est de renforcer la cohésion entre territoires frontaliers français et italiens. Il couvre le territoire alpin entre la France et l’Italie : départements des Alpes de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes Maritimes, Savoie et Haute-Savoie, Région Autonome Vallée d’Aoste, Provinces d’Imperia et de Cuneo, Métropole de Turin.
Les objectifs du programme sont de répondre aux défis environnementaux, redynamiser les systèmes économiques et sociaux et dépasser les principaux obstacles transfrontaliers, grâce à une coopération locale, intégrée et inclusive.
