Carnot STAR is integrated into the network of Carnot Institutes (currently 39 entities), public research structures certified and financed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation since 2006. Their primary purpose is to promote laboratories public with the socio-economic world, mainly through collaboration contracts.

L'Institut Carnot STAR a pour vocation de soutenir les entreprises du secteur du Sport, de la Santé et du Bien-Être dans leur démarche d’innovation, par des collaborations de recherche destinées à répondre à leurs besoins en R&D.
De par ses 9 unités de recherche et plateformes de services, Carnot STAR propose aux industriels un ensemble de compétences scientifiques et de moyens technologiques associés. Il est ainsi en mesure d’apporter des réponses adaptées aux besoins des TPE, PME, ETI ou grands groupes industriels en matière de :

Implanté au cœur de la cité phocéenne, les unités et plateformes de recherche affiliées à Carnot STAR peuvent apporter leur expertise au niveau national et/ou international.
Carnot STAR est intégré au réseau des Instituts Carnot (39 entités actuellement), structures de recherche publique labellisées et financées par le Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche et de I'Innovation depuis 2006. Leur vocation première consiste à valoriser les laboratoires publics auprès du monde socio-économique, essentiellement au moyen de contrats de collaboration.
