IMS Bordeaux stands as a major player in research both in France and internationally, known for our pioneering work and strong industrial partnerships. We specialize in integrated circuit design and lead ten multidisciplinary research groups, emphasizing interconnected themes in our innovative pursuits.
Our scientific endeavors focus on integrating hardware, intelligence, and knowledge in systems designed around human communication and interaction. Key areas of our expertise include:
- Material modeling and shaping for microsystems.
- Design and reliability analysis of electronic components and circuits.
- Advanced techniques in automated control, systems diagnosis, signal, and image processing.
- Research in production engineering, cognitics, human engineering, and bioelectronics.
We are committed to addressing societal challenges through ACTES, focusing on digital sovereignty, energy sobriety, and ecological sustainability. These initiatives reflect our dedication to impactful research that complies with societal needs.
Our research community boasts 135 senior researchers, 150 postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates, and 65 engineers and technical staff. Currently, we are leading over 100 research grants, showcasing our laboratory's significant role in advancing scientific knowledge.
