The Initiative Deutsche Zahlungssysteme e.V. sees itself as a network and platform for companies and institutions that accept the digital, electronic and card-based payment procedures of the Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft (German Banking Industry Committee), in particular the girocard system, or companies and institutions that provide the infrastructure required for this. It bundles the interests of its members and represents them vis-à-vis politicians and the media. The association accompanies the development of new possible fields of application and innovative solutions in the area of payment, initiates pilot projects and supports existing activities of its members, especially in the areas of public relations and communication.
