Representa al sector de los composites en España, siendo el foro de comunicación para la comunidad científica, técnica y empresarial en temas de investigación, desarrollo e innovación. Favorece las actuaciones tendentes a posicionar la asociación como entidad representativa de los intereses generales de los profesionales relacionados con la actividad. Desde AEMAC se promueve la formación profesional, se gestiona la difusión del conocimiento y se fomenta el consumo y correcto uso de los materiales compuestos en todos los sectores de aplicación.
AEMAC lidera la organización del "Congreso Bianual de Materiales Compuestos, MATCOMP" que celebrará su XVI Edición en 2025.
