In this context, the RECONVERT Industrial Chair contributes to integrating the approach of selective deconstruction of buildings and to organizing the flows of products and materials resulting from it for better reuse and recycling on a local scale.
The chair is positioned in an original way on the conduct of deconstruction processes using digital tools. It aims in particular to produce scenarios for managing the flow of these resources by ecosystem stakeholders. These digital tools will be developed based on studies of jobs in the sector and an ad hoc geographic information system qualifying sector players. They will also take into account the constraints of territorial management of resource flows and the “construction site” histories of the chair's industrial partners.

Le secteur du bâtiment génère annuellement 46 millions de tonnes de déchets en France, mais ce potentiel de valorisation est largement sous-exploité. Dans ce contexte, la chaire Industrielle RECONVERT contribue à intégrer la démarche de déconstruction sélective des bâtiments et à organiser les flux de produits et matériaux qui en sont issus pour un meilleur réemploi et recyclage à une échelle locale.
La chaire est positionnée de manière originale sur la conduite des processus de déconstruction à l’aide d’outils numériques. Elle vise en particulier à produire des scenarii de gestion des flux de ces ressources par les acteurs des écosystèmes. Ces outils numériques seront développés à partir d’études d’emplois de la filière et de système d’information géographique ad hoc qualifiant les acteurs des filières. Ils prendront également en compte les contraintes de gestion territoriale de flux de ressources et les historiques « chantiers » des partenaires industriels de la chaire.
