Since 2001 E-world energy & water has been held every year in Essen and has grown steadily to become the leading European trade fair for the energy industry.

Last year it achieved record figures in terms of exhibitors and visitors. 750 exhibitors from 26 countries and 25.000 trade visitors from 73 countries create a unique platform for networking with energy professionals.
Alongside global players such as E.ON, RWE, Shell, BP, General Electric, Siemens and Telekom, the exhibitors also include regional giants such as EnBW, EWE and RheinEnergie. More and more new and upcoming companies, as well as numerous foreign entities and Start-Ups are deciding to take part in E-world. Moreover, the exhibition includes joint stands that represent specific industry area. One example is the “Smart Energy Area” which has been part of E-world for many years now and takes a steadily increasing role in terms of size and exhibitors.
The E-world congress that runs in parallel to the trade fair is also a meeting place that plays a pioneering role for all those involved in the energy sector. During the half and full-day events, the current issues and developments in the energy industry are discussed by representatives from companies and industry specialists. The main issues are energy trading/procurement, energy generation, market development, energy sales, energy-related services and energy legislation.
