Created in 1996, ADI is a non-profit association under the 1901 law which brings together Real Estate Directors and Managers as well as all players in the profession. She ensures the promotion of the profession of Real Estate Director and the development of the company's real estate functions. To support Real Estate Directors, in a changing world, defend the interests of the profession and participate in reflections on the evolution of society and lifestyles, the ADI develops knowledge and know-how thanks to the work developed in working groups and in its six thematic commissions (economy, legal, sustainable development, users & international relations, service providers, professions of real estate directors) and disseminates them through the publication of white papers and the organization of debates.

Elle assure la promotion du métier de Directeur Immobilier et le développement des fonctions immobilières de l’entreprise. Elle représente aussi la profession, au sein du secteur immobilier, auprès des institutions, des médias et du grand public.
Ouverte dans une proportion restreinte à 1/3 aux membres associés, l’ADI compte aujourd’hui dans ses rangs près de 400 membres, dont quelques 260 Directeurs Immobiliers de grandes entreprises, collectivités territoriales ou établissements publics, ayant en charge la gestion des actifs immobiliers et du portefeuille locatif d’exploitation. Responsables de l’implantation des sites, de la pérennité et de la performance des bâtiments, de l’optimisation des coûts, de la qualité de l’environnement du poste de travail, les Directeurs Immobiliers sont les partenaires habituels des institutions publiques. L’association consolide ainsi près de 350 millions de m2, soit 1/3 du parc immobilier des entreprises françaises.
Pour accompagner, les Directeurs Immobiliers, dans un monde en mouvement, défendre les intérêts de la profession et participer aux réflexions d’évolution de la société et des modes de vie, l’ADI développe les savoirs et savoir-faire grâce aux travaux élaborés dans les groupes de travail et dans ses six commissions thématiques (économie, juridique, développement durable, utilisateurs & relations internationales, prestataires, métiers des directeurs immobiliers) et les diffuse au travers de la parution de livres blancs et de l’organisation de débats.
Par ailleurs, pour développer son ancrage territorial, elle installe des délégations régionales et en noue des partenariats avec d’autres acteurs de la place.
