Created in 2012 by the Laboratory of Excellence in Mathematics and Fundamental Computer Science of LYON (Labex MILYON) supported by the University of Lyon as part of IDEXLYON, it invests in exhibitions, stories, workshops, games, shows, conferences, etc. to allow everyone to discover and understand the world around us.
It deploys innovative and complementary events and educational activities throughout the year, aimed at a variety of audiences: students, teachers, the general public, etc.
Its entertainment offering is above all the result of collaborative work. It is designed with educational partners and Lyon's associative actors, experts in teaching. With its multiple collaborations, it combines fun activities and academic rigor and is based on quality scientific content.

Pionnière du genre, la MMI est un centre de médiation des savoirs dédié aux sciences mathématiques et informatiques via une approche vivante, ludique et pluridisciplinaire. Entièrement piloté par des enseignants-chercheurs passionnés, c’est un lieu où convergent : science, art, musique, histoire, architecture... pour une expérience nouvelle des mathématiques et de l’informatique !
Créée en 2012 par le Laboratoire d’excellence en Mathématiques et Informatique fondamentale de LYON (Labex MILYON) porté par l’Université de Lyon dans le cadre de l’IDEXLYON, elle investit expositions, contes, ateliers, jeux, spectacles, conférences, etc. pour permettre à tous et toutes de découvrir et comprendre le monde qui nous entoure.
Elle déploie toute l’année des actions événementielles et pédagogiques, innovantes et complémentaires, à destination de publics variés : élèves, professeurs, grand public...
Son offre d’animation est avant tout le résultat d’un travail collaboratif. Elle est conçue avec les partenaires éducatifs et les acteurs associatifs lyonnais, experts en didactique. Forte de ses collaborations plurielles, elle concilie activités ludiques et rigueur académique et s’appuie sur un contenu scientifique de qualité.
