L’association Initiative Charente-Maritime a été créée sous l'impulsion du Conseil Général de la Charente-Maritime en 1997. Son action, en faveur des créateurs/repreneurs d’entreprises, regroupe plus de 80 partenaires économiques locaux: collectivités, entreprises, banques, organismes professionnels et consulaires.
L’objectif est de déceler et favoriser l’initiative créatrice d’emplois sur le Département de la Charente-Maritime par l’octroi d’une aide financière, technique et humaine aux porteurs de projet.
Initiative Charente-Maritime est membre du premier réseau associatif de financement et d’accompagnement des entreprises: INITIATIVE FRANCE.
